About the Song

"Almost Everything About You" is the fourth single from REC's 2024 album, Kite To Camden. It mines my history with dance & techno music, and love of harmonies, to create an electro power pop banger.

The lyrics started out as a joke. I was so thrown by the backhanded humor that I shelved the song for years. When I started compiling KTC, I knew I was ready to make this song real. I've called it a near perfect techno love song - which is also a joke, but kinda true. It's a guy admitting he loves most of a person - nobody's perfect, right? - and would be content to spend every other day with them. Pay particular attention to the bridge lyrics and how they echo towards the breakdown.
